Look Ahead: Expect traffic delays on your way out this morning. - WAFF-TV: News, Weather and Sports for Huntsville, AL

Look Ahead: Expect traffic delays on your way out this morning. Sunny with a high of 86.

Good morning! Here are some things to keep your eye on during the day!

Expect traffic delays on your way out!

Beginning at 7:30 a.m., water operations crews are going to close Winchester Road between Meridian Street and Sam Drive in order to work on a 12” main extension project.

Huntsville Police will be on site to assist with traffic control. The projected time of closure will be approximately 6-8 hours.

Motorists traveling through this area should proceed with caution and be prepared for potential traffic delays.

Officials hold meeting Thursday night to discuss Huntsville's 'Big Picture'

Progress takes planning. That's the idea behind Huntsville's "Big Picture" concept, a multi-tier strategic plan for the city.

We can expect details on the city's vision this Thursday night at a public meeting.

Officials will address the economy, public transportation and quality of life.

Tonight's meeting will take place at 6 p.m. inside the Trinity United Methodist Church off Airport Road and it is completely open to the public.

Looks like another beautiful day is in store for today!

Today brings more of the same weather we've experience all week.

We'll start the day with sunny skies and temperatures generally in the upper 50s.

We'll warm up quickly, and additional cloud cover will develop as we head into the afternoon. Readings around lunchtime should be near 80° with highs this afternoon in the mid-to-upper 80s.

Have a great day!
