AT 10: Remembering fallen officers

Good Wednesday evening.

An annual memorial remembering Huntsville/Madison County law enforcement officers who lost their lives in the line of duty took on a special meeting this evening. In light of the riots in Baltimore and other outcries over mistreatment by police, WAFF 48's Tiani Jones talked to family members of the fallen to get their take on these outbreaks aimed at law enforcement.

We're also talking rabies. An Alabama A&M student found a sick bat on campus and took it to the Huntsville Animal Shelter for care. But was that the safe thing to do? WAFF 48's Vincent Crivelli spoke with the director of Huntsville Animal Services to find out the potentially deadly do's and don'ts when it comes to handling wild animals.

And we have a thief caught on surveillance camera walking out of a local grocery store with a stolen cell phone. It's your chance to help us solve a crime as well as pocket up to a thousand dollars in reward money. Don't miss this week's Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers.

We hope you'll join us at 10.
