Part Of Hwy 431 Still Closed After Bad Accident Last Night

That's what Highway 431 looked like last night at the scene of that bad tractor trailer accident last night. I just drove that route this morning, and the highway is still closed headed south at Taylor Lane. And heading north, the detour is still Old Highway 431. If you're headed to Huntsville from Owens Cross Roads, New Hope or Guntersville, this will really impact your drive this morning. So, give yourself some extra time. Muriel Bailey will be live all morning long, showing you what to expect and finding out when the road will be back to normal.

Have you ever heard of sunroofs exploding? Apparently, some car and truck owners are seeing and hearing that more often. We'll explore what's behind that at 5:42.

Sports fans, we have a huge weekend ahead. There's the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight http://bit.ly/1zjcqrq, NASCAR at Talladega http://bit.ly/1bJ3EZ4 and the Hammers and Shuckers playing ball in Huntsville. And then, of course, there's more of the NFL Draft. Did you see Jameis Winston getting the word he was the top pick in Bessemer? We'll take you there.

And Meteorologist David Ernst says he thinks you're going to like your weekend weather. it looks perfect for all of the sporting events and Whistlestop. http://bit.ly/GSwBfq Lauren Morrison will tempt your taste buds with a little barbecue from 6:00 to 7:00 a.m.

So, that's part of our menu. Come feast with us, and let's celebrate Friday together. WAFF 48 News Today is on your TV. All you have to do is click that remote.
