Kitchen Cops; 7 low performers

Cajun Steamer in Huntsville scored a 77 during their health inspection. The inspector reported that there were an excessive amount of flies near the back door and other areas. Also reported; sauce that was not cooled properly to prevent bacterial growth, and a worker's drink was stored above a food prep area.

A 79 for Madi's Cafe and Bar in Madison. The inspector took off points because a bottle of toxic chemical was unlabeled, and too close to clean dishes. Also, no one on staff had proof of their food safety certification.

OH! Bryan's Family Steakhouse in Huntsville scored an 84. The inspector reported workers were prepping raw hamburger that was 12 degrees above the temperature required to prevent bacterial growth in cold holding food.

O' Charley's in Huntsville also scored an 84, and also had just one critical violation. The inspector reported that an employee touched their apron then made bare hand contact with ready to eat food.

Bandito Burrito in Huntsville scored an 84. They lost points because of a dirty can opener blade and because no one had proof of food safety certification.

The inside of the ice machine needed to be cleaned at the Happy Hollow Market in Florence, as they scored an 82.

The Morgan County Health Department reported the Decatur Food Mart, which scored an 83, had no hand sink in the ware washing area.

Employees at the Old Rocking Chair Restaurant in Tuscumbia earned way off of the Kitchen Cops Low Performers list, scoring a 90 during their reinspection, eight points better than last time

There are thirteen Kitchen Cops High Performers this week. Momma Goldberg's in Muscle Shoals, Ted's BBQ Huntsville, and the Chevron on Cox Creek Parkway in Florence each scored a 99. 

Arby's in Muscle Shoals, Trojan House in Muscle Shoals, Across the Pond in Huntsville,  Buena Vista Mexicana Cantina in Owens Cross Roads, Lawlers Barbecue Express on Hughes Road in Madison, Emma's Cafe in Huntsville, the Subway at the Muscle Shoals Walmart, the Subway in Sheffield, Waterloo Market & Grill in Waterloo, and the Chick-Fil-A at the UNA campus each scored 98.
