HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - The Huntsville Police Department and HEMSI responded to Lee High School on Friday morning after a girl was stabbed with a pen during a fight.

Huntsville Schools spokesman Keith Ward said the altercation involved two 11th-grade female students, who were in the school cafeteria before class. Ward says one of the girls took out a pen and stabbed the other in the head. The girls were related.

The students were taken by school resources officers, who conducted interviews with the two.

HEMSI said that no one is being transported to the hospital at this time. They also said that an officer also needed to be decontaminated.
