WAFF explores a charter school - what may be in store for Alabama?

Charter schools are finally coming to Alabama after getting the okay in this legislative session.

But a lot of parents still don't understand what they are and what they will mean for their child' s education. Reporter Tiani Jones travels to neighboring Tennessee to check out their charter schools. Tonight she separates fact from fiction when it comes to how charter schools work.

Scottsboro residents can now purchase alcohol 7 days a week.

In a 5 to 0 vote, the council voted tonight to allow 7 day alcohol sales becoming the first city in the Sand Mountain area to do so. The measure takes effect immediately.
