Kitchen Cops: 2 low performers and 1 perfect score

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Tienda Maya II in Albertville scored an 81 with the Marshall County Health Department. The inspector says the meat slicer needed to be cleaned, and that an open employee drink was found in the Kitchen.

The River Food Mart in Guntersville scored a 78. The health department reports that they were washing utensils in the same sink used for mops. The inspector also took off points because the ice maker and the soda nozzles needed to be cleaned.

There are five Kitchen Cops High Performers this week, but Ann's Sports & Grill in Huntsville stands alone. That's because the workers here are the only ones who earned a perfect 100 during their inspection. Congratulations for keeping it clean.

Brown's Heavenly Fish & Soul Food in Tuscumbia scored a 99. So did the Wendy's in Muscle Shoals. Robert Trent Jones in Muscle Shoals scored a 98,as did Oasis Deli & Tropical Snow in Leighton.

An 84 gets a food establishment on the low performers list. That's what B & S Grocery in Athens scored last time. An 85 gets them off the list, and that's what they scored this time during their reinspection. Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse in Gunterville is also off of the low performers list after scoring an 89, five points better than last time. And the Wendy's in Guntersville made a three point improvement during their reinspection, scoring an 87.
