Inmate escapes from Decatur Community Work Center

DECATUR, AL (WAFF) - An inmate escaped from the Decatur Community Work Center at around 3:10 p.m. Wednesday. 

Officials say Martin J. Creasman escaped from the work center located in Decatur in Morgan County. He was last seen wearing white pants and shirt and red and black New Balance shoes.

Creasman was sentenced in May 2013 for unlawful breaking and entering of a vehicle in St. Clair County. He has a lengthy criminal history, including fraud, theft and breaking and entering.

This is the 18th reported escape from the work center since 2010 and the first we know of in 2015.

If you have any information concerning his whereabouts, please notify your local law enforcement agency, the facility from which the inmate escaped, or call the Alabama Dept. of Corrections at 1-800-831-8825.
