Surveillance footage holds key to car crime

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - You could hold the "key" to solving a car crime.

We're actually referring to keys stolen from a car dealership, and one stolen vehicle.

Here's your chance to put this car crook on the hook.

On surveillance video, you can see our car crook walk into the office building at the Payday Motors on Jordan Lane Jan. 6 after breaking the glass to the front door.

He's wearing a red hoodie and Huntsville Police say he appears to be in his mid 20s.

He goes to work, taking something out of that office.

But according to police, this crook didn't take money.

He took keys to some of the vehicles on the lot.

And police say he actually stole one of the vehicles.

In fact, he used a key to crank up and drive off in a GMC van, which was found abandoned later that morning.

Our crook was not only wearing a red hoodie, he took it off at one point and also has red hair.

Any idea who this guy is?

You could earn some reward money to maybe go toward buying a vehicle of your own.

We're talking up to a thousand dollars in reward money.
