HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - The Downtown Huntsville branch of the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library has had a few unexpected visitors lately.
A pair of red-tailed hawks have made their home at the library, and they have caused a stir among the library's staff and many patrons.
If you'd like to see the hawks, you can look at the nest through a window on the third floor of the library in the special collections department.
Library personnel also have a HawkCam set up to offer 24-hour viewing of the library's newest mascots. You can see that live feed here.
The HMCPL wants help in naming the hawks. (They will also name the chicks once they hatch). If you have name ideas for their feathered friends, you can click here to post your suggestions under the photo titled "Help us name our hawks" on the library's Facebook page.
