LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Limestone County officials' search for a man who fought with a deputy before taking off into the woods. Officials spent all day Tuesday searching for him and Wednesday, Limestone County Sheriff's Office said that they plan on continuing the search until they find him.
A Limestone County deputy was attempting to serve an arrest warrant to Tony Glover earlier in the afternoon when he fled.
The deputy who attempted the arrest was taken to the hospital for treatment of a minor injury and later released.
A helicopter and K9 units were brought in to look for Glover near the intersection of Brock Road and Sweet Springs Road, close to Elkmont. Ardmore police were also brought it to assist with the search.
Deputies believed Glover was boxed into a heavily-wooded area.
He is described as 5'10" tall and weighing about 150 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans and no shirt at the time of the altercation.
Deputies say the man has numerous warrants out for his arrest.
Authorities said around 9 p.m. that the search for Glover was suspended until Wednesday morning.
