Wreck on NB Memorial Pkwy; at least 1 injury

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A Sunday afternoon wreck on northbound Memorial Parkway has resulted in at least one person being transported to the hospital.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. on the parkway north of University Drive, within view of the WAFF 48 studio.

Three vehicles were involved; fire, police and HEMSI crews quickly arrived on the scene.

At least one person has been carried to a HEMSI vehicle on a stretcher.

Traffic backed up quickly, but thinned out within an hour of the wreck.

State police are investigating the crash.
