1 arrested following Huntsville officer-involved shooting

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

For the third time, gunfire disturbed a Huntsville neighborhood Saturday.

Police responded to a domestic disturbance call on McKinley Avenue around 3:30 p.m. 

Officers said when they arrived at the scene, a male subject came out of a home with a handgun visible.

Police fired shots toward the subject, later identified as Daniel Crumbley.

Investigators said Crumbley dropped the gun and was immediately taken into custody.

No injuries were reported. Three officers have been placed on leave following the incident.

Huntsville police responded to two other incidents involving gunfire Saturday; the incidents on Mason Court and Venona Avenue each resulted in injuries. 

Police have not indicated the cases are related to one another.

    An incarcerated Lawrence County man who walked off a work detail earlier this month has been captured in Colorado.  The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office reportedly took Austen Larry Williams, 28, into custody on Saturday.
