Ala. senate approves charter school bill

New developments tonight on the Charter Schools bill. Tonight, the state senate approved the legislation, which passed by a vote of 22 to 12. The bill would allow the establishment of up to 10 "startup" charter schools in the state each year and unlimited conversions of existing schools to charter status. The bill now heads to the House.

Tonight, investigators are still looking into a deadly wreck that killed 4 people in Limestone County. Meantime, Madison Police have released dash cam video of the moments leading up to the crash.

It's an innovative idea that's sweeping the nation - a program that allows homeowners to rent out their homes as an alternative to staying in a hotel. But there's a problem... in the case of Huntsville, the city losses valuable tax dollars with these transactions.
