BRIDGEPORT, AL (WAFF) -

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office reported Monday night that the vehicle connected to armed and dangerous home invasion suspects was found in South Pittsburg Tennessee.

The home invasion happened in Bridgeport early Monday morning.

Officials say several shots were fired inside the Normandy Apartments in the 2100 block of 5th Street in Bridgeport during the incident.

No injuries were reported.

"A comment was made, something on the lines of 'Give me what you've got,' something of that nature," said Jackson County Sheriff Chuck Phillips. "The guy attempted to run up the stairs, and when he did, apparently the suspects fired some rounds at him. At that point, they left."

The vehicle the suspects -between 2 and 3 in number - were said to have driven was recovered in South Pittsburg; officials said they may still be in Tennessee.

Because the suspects may be armed and dangerous, no one should attempt to make contact with them.

Any information should be reported to the Jackson County Sheriff's office at 256-574-2610 or your local law enforcement agency.
