2 thieves set sites on $3K worth of eye glass frames

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - The crime may have happened at a vision center, but two crooks definitely had 20/20 vision when it came to what they were stealing.

They made off with thousands of dollars worth of eyeglass frames in this week's Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week.

Since we're talking about an eye center, our two alleged thieves are clearly seen walking into the Schaeffer Eye Center on University Drive Dec. 23.

One is a heavy set man with a pink or red jacket and a boggin.

The other is a slender man wearing a gray jacket and a boggin.

The two set their sites on expensive eye glass frames.

One of the thieves is seen on surveillance video trying on a pair of frames before walking off with them.

They definitely knew how to price shop, looking for the most expensive brands.

In fact, Huntsville Police say the pair walked out of the store with over $3,000 worth of frames concealed in their jackets.

Do you recognize either of the two?

If so, you'll be getting an up-close look at a reward of up to $1,000.
