HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Lots of families were out grabbing last minute supplies before the snow got here.

At the Star Market in Five Points Wednesday, the place was packed with people stocking up on groceries.

But people seemed to be excited about the snow. An 8-year-old girl shopping with her dad said she can't wait to play in the snow with her dog.

"Throw more snowballs at my puppy. She looks like a puppy snow monster sometimes." said the girl.

While some were hoarding groceries in preparation for the winter weather, others were in line at Lewter's Hardware in downtown Huntsville
