Stop me if you've heard me before. We could see some snow today. Hey, you weren't supposed to stop me that fast. No, seriously, we've already seen some light snow this morning in Florence and Athens. That's the green on the radar in the picture. There won't be enough to make snowmen or go sledding, but Meteorologist David Ernst says you could see a light dusting. Oh, and it's really cold outside. It was 23 degrees on my way into work, and the wind makes it feel colder than that. Check out David's Weather On The Tens. He'll show what's popping up on Storm Tracker Doppler Radar and when you could see snow in your neighborhood.
We're also looking into a death investigation in Limestone County. The sheriff says a family member found Christine Garth's body Monday night. Investigators now want to talk with several people. We'll bring you the latest on that.
Did you hear about the immigration limbo? A federal judge blocked President Obama's order. Tracie Potts puts it all into perspective for us. Look for her report at 5:06 a.m.
And back to the cold, which is still on my mind while I wear my parka at my newsroom desk... How about a good 'ol woman gives birth in the middle of a winter storm story? Well, you're in luck. We have that for you at 5:55.
But I'm at the anchor desk right now (parka off, unfortunately). So, join me and we'll try to warm up together and get caught up on the world. WAFF 48 News Today is on the air right now.
