Good morning!

Arrest, proposed termination and apologies. That's our big story this morning - a question of police use of force in Madison and a grandfather who's still recovering from his injuries.

Madison's police chief apologized to the Patel family. Madison Police officer Eric Parker is now facing assault charges. And according to the lawsuit that the family filed, Sureshbhai Patel is partially paralyzed.

WAFF's Muriel Bailey & Lauren Morrison will have updates on this story at 5:00 and 6:00 a.m. on WAFF 48 News Today.

By the way, this community has already poured out support for the Patel family. His Gofundme account (

) has raised just over $34,000 of its $100,000 goal.

A Bob Jones High School employee is under investigation, but the circumstances surrounding Shane Jones are unclear. Jones is a media specialist with the school and is now on leave. We'll update you on where that case goes from here.
