Huntsville Police Still Investigating Last Night's Deadly Shooting

That's the scene of a shooting that Huntsville Police are still investigating this morning.

There are still a lot of answers we're looking for - the name of the 35-year-old woman who was killed, what started the argument that led to the shooting, and who was involved. It all ended on Melody Circle. That's where Muriel Bailey is live this morning. She'll have updates for you at 5:00 and 6:00 a.m. on WAFF 48 News Today.

Here's a question for you. What does "enduring offensive combat operations" mean? That's what lawmakers on Capitol Hill are trying to figure out. It's part of President Obama's request for more military support to fight ISIS.

The other big deal in Washington today is a vote on Ashton Carter, the defense secretary nominee. Tracie Potts fills in the rest at 5:06.

Will there really be a big theme park in Muscle Shoals four years from now. The developers have big plans, but a lot of Shoals residents are very skeptical. We'll tackle that at 5:30 and 6:30.

And unless you recently took a trip to North Carolina, Texas or Puerto Rico or had a family or friend buy a Powerball ticket for you there, you didn't win the big jackpot last night. It hit $564 million. The winning numbers were 11, 13, 25, 39, 54 and the Powerball was 19.

And I'm up with this week's WAFF 48 Investigates report. We're talking about millions of dollars worth of state property -- laptops, snack machines, even a pool table -- missing. Gone! What happened to them? That's tonight at 10:00, but Jim and I have a preview for you at 6:42.

But we're on your TV right now. So, let's get this Thursday going. Have a great day!
