MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Motorists who are more than 90 days late paying traffic tickets in Montgomery can get a reprieve.
Starting Wednesday, the Montgomery County District Court will offer an amnesty for people wanted on arrest warrants over some traffic tickets.
To be eligible, a motorist must have tickets that are more than 90 days late by Wednesday and be wanted on a warrant.
If motorists pay at least half of what they owe, court officials will cancel the arrest warrant. Participants have six weeks to pay off any remaining ticket balances.
