DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

Day Four of the prosecution's case against a man charged with three counts of capital murder just wrapped up Wednesday evening.

We learned how investigators first heard Ezekiel Gholston's name in connection with the double homicide at the Krystal restaurant in Decatur, and how they found out Jordaan Creque bought a gun the night before the robbery.

Read more about the previous day's proceedings.

Creque is convicted for the murders of Krystal employees Jeff Graff and Jesse Aguilar. Investigators say he shot them, Gholston helped rob the business, and Cassandra Eldred was the getaway driver.

The prosecution is trying to establish what Gholston knew before the robbery.

Wednesday, Brittany Orr's cousin testified. Orr was Creque's girlfriend, and they lived with Megan Orr. She testified that the day of the murders, she told police Gholston was at her apartment the night before, and that Creque showed him the gun he had just bought.

A Decatur police investigator testified that it was Creque's girlfriend who told him Creque bought a gun just hours before the murders, and gave the detective the receipt for that gun.

That gun was eventually found in Wilson Morgan Lake.

The prosecutors will continue their case Thursday. Gholston's defense will try to convince the jury that he had no idea Creque would shoot the men.
