HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - A Huntsville police officer charged with bribery is changing his plea.
A new filing in federal court Wednesday shows officer Lewis Hall is now scheduled for a change of plea hearing in 20 days.
He pleaded not guilty at a hearing Jan. 15.
Wednesday's filing shows Hall wants to go back before that judge to change his plea to guilty.
Hall was arrested back in December on federal charges of conspiracy, bribery, obstruction of justice and making false statements to investigators.
He's accused of offering another officer $5,000 to make someone's drug trafficking charge go away.
We've reached out to Huntsville police for reaction to this development.
Hall currently remains with the department, and is on administrative leave.
