JACKSON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Jackson County Sheriff's Office patrol deputies arrested a man on Saturday on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on a bond revocation after they found him hiding in a shed behind his home.
Deputies went to Richard Lee Garner's home on McCord Road in Dutton in an attempt to serve an outstanding arrest warrant.
They arrived to find him hiding in a shed/outbuilding in the back of the residence.
Garner was arrested on the outstanding arrest warrant for failure to appear (FTA) on a bond revocation.
During a search of the building, deputies found a quantity of methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a “one pot” methamphetamine laboratory.
The Jackson County Narcotics Unit was contacted and responded to the scene to conduct an investigation and to process the laboratory.
Garner, age 41 of Dutton, was taken to the Jackson County Jail without incident and was charged with the outstanding arrest warrant for failure to appear on a bond revocation, first degree unlawful manufacture of controlled substances, unlawful possession of controlled substances (methamphetamine), second degree unlawful possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
His bond has not yet been set on the felony cases.
