Community mental health services brace for hospital's closure

North Alabama's only state mental hospital will be closing its doors this summer. Word came Tuesday that the North Alabama Regional Hospital will close by the end of June. Tonight, we have team coverage on the impact to the dozens of patients and their families, as well as the jobs lost at that facility.

A 21-year-old DeKalb County man is asking for youthful offender status in the shooting death of a Fyffe man. Ben Christopher McClure is charged with the murder of Michael Arnold Johnson last October. We'll have the latest developments in this case.

Also, we're following the developments as Decatur City school leaders move ahead with the construction of a new high school. The Decatur school board has unanimously approved the purchase of land at Modaus Road and Shady Grove Lane to build a new Austin High School.
