BUTLER, Ala. (AP) - Authorities in west Alabama say two of three inmates who escaped from a county jail have been rearrested.

Choctaw County Sheriff Tom Abate says 23-year-old Justin Gordon was found inside a vehicle in a Tuscaloosa parking lot on Saturday night.

Abate says informants saw Gordon and contacted the Alabama Bureau of Investigation and U.S. Marshals. Abate says the two organizations partnered with Tuscaloosa police to arrest Gordon.

Abate says 32-year-old Gemayel Culbert was also arrested on Sunday morning in Sumter County by U.S. Marshals and the Alabama Bureau of Investigation. Details on his arrest weren't immediately available.

Authorities have said the two along with 23-year-old Demarcus Woodard overpowered a guard, took his keys and fled the jail on foot. Woodard, who was charged with capital murder, remains at large.
