It's finally official. The President of UAB, Ray Watts, announced yesterday that this will be the final season for the football program.
Angry students and football supporters booed Watts as he left the football office yesterday afternoon. A lot of the players became emotional after leaving a meeting where they learned they won't be able to play football at UAB.

The decision could impact where hundreds of children attend school. The Alabama legislature passed the bill almost two years ago. It allows students in failing schools to transfer to non-failing schools and awards tax credits if they transfer to private schools.
Huntsville City school leaders say the district has joined others in calling for the courts to stop the accountability act.
