Good morning!

Here's what we're working on in the WAFF 48 newsroom:

We have an update to a story we brought you as breaking news late last night.

A stand off at a hotel in southeast Huntsville is over.  It happened at the Hampton Inn in Hampton Cove.  There was a huge response from Madison County SWAT, Huntsville Police, Owens Cross Roads Police and Alabama State Troopers.

Investigators say 33 year old Ryan Edward Newberry, barricaded himself in a room along with a woman.  After 45 minutes of talks, he released the woman and surrendered.

This morning we'll also have an update on a weekend plane crash.

Investigators will be taking a closer look at the crash site in Limestone County.  It happened around 1:30 yesterday near Bill Black and New Cut Roads.  The plane was trying to come in for a landing at an airstrip when it went down.

First responders tell us the pilot and a passenger suffered what appear to be non-life threatening injuries.

We'll have these stories and more, plus your work and school week forecast with meteorologist Davis Ernst.

Have a wonderful day!
