HPD Investigating Overnight Stabbing - WAFF-TV: News, Weather and Sports for Huntsville, AL

HPD Investigating Overnight Stabbing

This morning, Huntsville police are looking for a man who, they say, stabbed a woman around 2:00 this morning. This was in the 4000 block of Hunters Ridge Drive. Officers say it was a domestic situation, and they know who they're looking for. Our Muriel Bailey is checking on the investigation and condition of the woman right now. Look for her live reports at 5:00 and 6:00 a.m.

We're also checking with HPD about the body found in the woods just off Cecil Ashburn Drive yesterday afternoon. Look for updates first on our Twitter feed (@waff48) and at waff.com

We'll also take you around the country to see what the protests looked like, 24 hours after the grand jury's decision in Ferguson, Missouri http://bit.ly/1Fr41iM . I know many of you had concerns about the protest in Huntsville. It turned out quite peaceful, and protesters left behind a list of demands for change. Check them out here http://bit.ly/1ztJPL7

I won't be here tomorrow morning for Thanksgiving (i'll anchor the afternoon and evening shows, so please join me then), so may I be the first, or close to it, to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. To get you in the spirit this morn, we'll take you to the Great Thanksgiving Buffet at the Downtown Rescue Mission to see how they're preparing.

And I hope Meteorologist David Ernst is preparing a friendly forecast for the holiday weekend. You'll see him every ten minutes from now until 7:00 a.m.http://bit.ly/GSwBfq

So, join us on this holiday eve. We're on the air right now!
