Good Wednesday evening.
We are working to find more details in a deadly accident in Huntsville this evening. A pedestrian was hit and killed while crossing North Memorial Parkway near Sparkman Drive at around 7 this evening.
We're also talking to Boeing officials about layoffs to one of Huntsville's largest employers. As we first reported on WAFF 48 News at 6, Boeing employees have been given a 48-hour notice about their job status, which will come Friday. While we don't yet know how many employees will be affected, we're told it's due to the Space Launch System moving from the design phase to the production phase. WAFF 48's Charles Molineaux will have the latest on what we've learned about this development.
And in my weekly Crime Stoppers report, we feature a credit card thief who used a stolen card to purchase items. The catch - the actual card wasn't stolen. Police say somehow the thief used a copy of the card. Her picture is worth up to $1,000 in reward money.
We hope you'll join us at 10.
