Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle will deliver his annual State of the City address today.
Battle says part of his speech will focus on economic development and the City's future. He says it's important for all citizens to know what's going on in their city. We'll have a preview of what he's expected to say this morning.
The State of the City starts at noon in the North Hall at the Von Braun Center.
Also, there have been 8 fires we've reported on in the past week.
Everywhere from Hazel Green to Huntsville and from Madison to Limestone County, there have been several house fires. Only one person was injured, but that's not always the case. Last year, 81 people died from fires in Alabama.
According to the State's Fire Marshal, half of home heating fires are reported during the months of December, January and February. This morning we have important information you need to know, to keep your home safe.
