Huntsville Firefighters Battled This Condo Fire Overnight

This is where Huntsville firefighters were busy last night. This is the Sutton Place Condominiums on Golf Road. A fire broke out in one of the upstairs condos, but it forced plenty of other people out of their homes. They're back in their homes this morning. Firefighters held the fire to just that one unit. Investigators are still looking into the cause.

If you work on Redstone Arsenal, you're going to see some major upgrades at the exchange. Later today, they're going to reveal their first full remodel since 2000. It sounds pretty exciting. That's why we sent our Muriel Bailey to check it out. Look for her live at 5:00 and 6:00 a.m. And if you take some pictures later today, send them to

We're still on a trend of "This morning's cooler than yesterday morning". My dash thermometer showed 49 degrees at 3:00 this morning. It's going to go up 15 to 20 degrees or so. That's Meteorologist David Ernst's world. I'll let him explain the how, why and when. You'll see him every ten minutes on WAFF 48 News Today.

I'm guessing it will cool down quite a bit tonight, but if you're headed out for Friday Night Fever, the action should be pretty hot. We'll take a closer look at 5:53, and we'll take you back to some of last night's action, including Huntsville's tilt with Bob Jones.

And we'll get you ready for the weekend this morning. How'd you like to go on ghost week? We'll creep down that road with you and some other tricks and treats at  5:11.

Now, let's get this show on the road. I'll see you on TV.
