Police find girls who left Lauderdale County High School with 22-year-old man

ROGERSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Authorities found two girls safe after they say a man picked them up from school on Tuesday morning.

Rogersville police were looking for a green pickup truck driven by 22-year-old Nicholas Wellington, of Leighton.

Police say he was seen leaving Lauderdale County High School with two girls, ages 12 and 14. They say the girls and Wellington are Facebook acquaintances.

They found the girls in Leighton shortly after the search began.

Wellington was charged with two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. More charges are possible, pending the outcome of the investigation.
