2 children found after Amber Alert issued in Rogersville

ROGERSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - An Amber Alert was issued in Rogersville after two children were reported missing. 

The children were reported found and safe shortly after the alert according to an investigator with Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department.

Abbigale Lee Lane, 11-years-old, and Bart Cornelius Lane, Jr., 14-years-old were found after the amber alert was issued.

The suspect is Bart Cornelius Lane.

Investigators said that when Lane picked up the children from school, he threatened to kill them and himself.

Charges are still pending.

    The Guntersville Police Department have released news details on a double shooting late Friday afternoon that left one man dead.

    The incident occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m., when police from multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a 911 call reporting two people had been shot on Edmonds Road.
