HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives announced a reward in a Huntsville gun store burglary.

The $6,000 reward is for information about the theft of firearms from JC Guns and Tackle in Huntsville.

More than 100 weapons were stolen from the store on Jordan Lane on Aug. 31, valued at about $35,000. Along with the weapons, a bulletproof vest, a magazine and a 110-round clip were reported stolen.

The owner of the shop believes the incentive of a cash reward will help get people to turn the two suspects in. The August theft is the second time the store has been broken into. The owner said they are upping security measures.

"I think this $6,000 is really gonna help a whole lot, because a lot of people would tell on his momma for that kind of money," said J.C. Vaughn.

Call 1-800-ATF-GUNS if you have information about the theft.
