Here's what we're working on the WAFF Newsroom:
Decatur residents will get a chance to voice their opinions on the mayor's proposed budget cuts.
Mayor Don Kyle's budget proposal includes almost $1.5 million in cuts. The city is looking at a $1.6 million shortfall for the upcoming fiscal year.
Kyle wants to cut several vacant positions they've already budgeted for, including 15 fire and rescue positions and seven vacant park and recreation positions.
WAFF's Muriel Bailey will have more on this story beginning at 5am.
Also, we're looking into a respiratory virus that is sending kids to the Emergency room. Although no cases have been confirmed in Alabama, 10 states, including Georgia, have requested help from the Centers for Disease Control.
Lauren Morrison is looking into this story along with what parents need to look out for. She'll have a live report at 5:30am and 6:30am.
