IDER, AL (WAFF) -

Labor Day just wouldn't be complete in DeKalb County without Mule Day in the town of Ider.

Bands played throughout the day Monday entertaining crowds of people.

The big attraction, of course, was the mule pulling. Horses and mules from all over came to compete.

Kids had plenty to do with outdoor activities. There were plenty of arts and crafts and great food vendors on hand.

"I like to see them pull, see what they can pull," said attendee Tim Sexton. "If you watch some of them mules they'll get nearly on their knees pulling so hard. It's just unreal how they'll work for them boys."

It wasn't just the mules pulling. Mule Day also featured an antique tractor display and pull.
