Search for Memphis woman continues after 5 years

Posted: Updated:

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Memphis police say the search continues for a woman who walked away from her care home five years ago.

Sgt. Rick Davison says 61-year-old Mattie B. Wilson disappeared on July 30, 2008 in the Frayser area.

Wilson has black hair, brown eyes and stands 5-feet, 4-inches tall. Davison says she was last seen wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.

Davison says missing persons investigators reissued a city alert for Wilson with the hope of generating new tips to her whereabouts.
