Missing Alabama boy, 9, found safe

FAIRFIELD, AL (WAFF) -

A missing Alabama boy has been found safe several hours after an Amber Alert was issued for him.

The State of Alabama issued an Emergency Missing Child Amber Alert at 11:20 p.m. Saturday for 9-year-old Rhashud Felix. 

The Fairfield Police Department and the Alabama Department of Public Safety asked for the public's help in locating Rhashud.

Rhashud Felix was last seen on Aug. 30 at 6:30 p.m., in Fairfield and authorities said they believed that he was in extreme danger. 

Investigators say Rhashud Felix was abducted by a woman believed to be his grandmother, Tanja Felix.

Around 1 a.m. on Sunday, Fairfield police said Rhashud was found safe. No further details were released.
