I Have Cancer. I Want To Live. gives readers practical guide to facing cancer with help of God, family, friends.

Grenada, Miss. (PRWEB) August 29, 2014

Ten years ago, Darlene Arnold Gore was diagnosed stage 4 breast cancer. She was 50 years old. Doctors told Gore she would likely not live to see her daughters graduate college, get married or have children.

Today, Gore is cancer-free and a proud grandmother of four. In her inspirational new book, I Have Cancer. I Want To Live.: The True Story of an Unlikely Outcome with Honest and Practical Suggestions for Those Who Want to Be Supportive (published by WestBow Press), she shares her story of how she battled cancer with the help of friends, family, and, most importantly, faith.

More than just a personal memoir, I Have Cancer. I Want To Live. offers practical suggestions to cancer patients, their families and their friends. She gives advice on how to battle the disease and how to cope with the fear and anxiety that accompanies a cancer diagnosis.

Although every case of cancer is unique and each family is different, Gore believes there are three steps every cancer patient should take on his or her journey: motivate themselves for the fight; create ways for others to join the fight; and learn how to encourage and help others battling cancer.

This book can serve as not only a resource but also inspiring hope for the journey ahead, Gore says. For the survivor, this book can help celebrate victories and inspire them to help others in real, meaningful ways.
