KY man facing charges after Lone Oak armed robbery

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

A Hickory, Kentucky man is facing charges in connection to a store armed robbery.

Michael D. Rudd, 33, of Hickory, Kentucky was already incarcerated on other charges in Graves County, was charged with robbery first degree. Rudd was booked into the Graves County Jail on a $20,000 bond.

The employee told officers the suspect, who was armed with a knife, made mention of the safe and money drawer.

The employee then opened the safe and drawer. The suspect took an amount of money and left the business.

He was identified through use of video surveillance, witness statements and other evidence obtained during the investigation.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department was assisted by the Graves County Sheriff's Department and the Mayfield Police Department.
