HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

With the absentee ballots left to be counted, four votes is all that separated the two front-runners in one of five Huntsville municipal races Tuesday.

With Jennie Robinson at 2,243 votes, and Walt Hennessee at 2,239, a runoff seems likely. The third candidate on this ballot, Rosemary Schexnayder, received just 8 percent of the vote.

In the District 4 race, incumbent Bill Kling led with a 76 percent vote against competitor Jackie Reed.

Three seats are up for grabs in the Huntsville City School board, and one of those battles may be headed for a runoff.

Five candidates vied for the District 3 seat, leaving it difficult for any one candidate to reach the majority percentage needed to clinch the title. With 30 percent, Elisa Ferrell was in the lead, followed by Anson Knowles with 24 percent, Ellen Brusick with 19, Kathie Rooker with 17, and Pat Sanders with 10.

Beth Wilder had a 500-plus vote lead against her competitor, Richard Buchanan, for the District 2 board title.

At District 4, Walker McGinnis led with 57 percent, against 43 percent for Kimberly Battle.
