Florence man chokes girlfriend for waking him up, police say

FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) - Florence Police Department Investigators arrested a man for domestic violence Friday.

Officers say Michael Kimbrell got into an argument with his girlfriend for waking him up and began yelling and throwing household items at her.

Kimbrell threw the victim down and choked her, even placing a pillow over her face at one point. He then let her up and she left the house with him following her, according to police. 

Officers arrived at this time and placed Kimbrell under arrest.

The victim suffered minor injuries. 

Kimbrell is charged with Domestic Violence 2nd Degree, Domestic Violence 3rd Degree and Criminal Mischief.

    Three adult males and one juvenile were arrested in Limestone County on Thursday after a four-hour manhunt and charged with multiple counts stemming from a string of vehicle thefts.Three adult males and one juvenile were arrested in Limestone County on Thursday after a four-hour manhunt and charged with multiple counts stemming from a string of vehicle thefts.

    A ground search ensued that lasted about four hours and covered approximately six miles, ending a few hundred yards east of Hays Mill Road where the suspects were caught in a hunting stand/shoot house.
