Two in custody after multiple vehicles were burglarized in Lauderdale County

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Florence Police arrested 20-year-old James Michael Fountain and a juvenile after multiple cars were burglarized overnight near the Lakeside Highlands community in Lauderdale County. 

While taking reports on Lakeside Drive, an officer spotted two suspicious males. As the officer was speaking with the two, both fled on foot. Both Fountain and the juvenile were intercepted within a short time.

They are charged with 19 counts of burglary to a vehicle and multiple counts of theft.

Fountain was also charged with escape and gun violations in relation to this case. He was booked into the Lauderdale County Detention Center, while the juvenile was sent to the Juvenile Authorities.
