Union Springs, AL (WAFF) - Agents of the Alabama Alcohol Beverage Control investigated and destroyed a 13-barrel  illegal moonshine still near the city of Union Springs in Bullock County.

Investigators of the ABC found the still in a thick treeline where 12 barrels of live mash and one barrel of low wine were hidden. Low wine is a weak or low alcohol content liquid left over after the mash has been distilled.

The agents are a part of a highly skilled team called the Moonshine Task Force that investigates tips and develops leads that are often associated with this type of illegal activity.

No arrests were made, but agents are still looking for a person of interest for a pending investigation.
