VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

A woman allegedly tried to hold up a gas station convenience store Friday afternoon, but instead of getting away with money she was chased down by two employees.

Workers at the Shell station on 112th Avenue and 49th Street in Vancouver said a woman demanded cash while threatening that she had a gun in her pocket.

The clerk refused to give her any money, and called 911.

That's when the woman, who police identified at Catrina Jackson, ran out of the store. Two employees ran after her, pulled her out of her car, and held her down until officers arrived.

"It was just instinct," Roy Coffelt said. "I felt like I didn't think she should've got away and she deserved to get caught. I was just doing my part to the society."

Jackson was arrested and taken to jail on robbery charges.

David: Showers and storms ongoing across the Valley

    Saturday, March 25 2017 5:50 PM EDT2017-03-25 21:50:37 GMT

Showers and storms will be ongoing across the Valley this evening. The most widespread rain will be over northeastern AL, but additional scattered storms will track into the Shoals from the west. That round of stormy weather will head east with time and should be out of the Valley after midnight. The threat for severe storms is low, but a few strong storms are possible.
