WETUMPKA, AL (WSFA) -

The deputy police chief for Wetumpka is filing a formal complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission against the city citing what he says is racial discrimination and retaliation for his support of the city's female police chief.

Deputy Chief Anthony Crenshaw's filed the EEOC complaint three weeks after the Commission received Chief Celia Dixon's complaint in which she alleges age and gender discrimination.

Both Dixon and Crenshaw have been on paid administrative leave for a month.

A private investigator spoke to past and present police officers to conduct an investigation on behalf of the city council into unnamed allegations about the chief and chief deputy.

WSFA 12 News is told that the attorney who conducted the investigation is currently working to compile the initial report.

The city attorney says she has not received any information.
