Glider pilot 'OK' after crashing plane in Sylacauga

SYLACAUGA, AL (WBRC) -

Sylacauga police have confirmed a glider plane crashed in Sylacauga around 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.

Authorities have not released the location of the crash or the name of the pilot but say the pilot is a woman and she is OK. She was picked up by police who were responding to the 911 call.

She is a member of a group called the Sylacauga Soaring Society who meet and fly every weekend.
