HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

As the world mourns the loss of talented actor and comedian Robin Williams, a woman from the Tennessee Valley who got to spend time with the award-winner shared her personal reflections.

Williams was found dead Monday at his California home. Investigators suspect the actor committed suicide.

Molly Beucher is an actress who most recently worked alongside Williams in a cameo role in the CBS series "The Crazy Ones." She grew up in the Tennessee Valley area and is a graduate of Randolph High School in Huntsville.

In a statement written Monday evening, Beucher said the following:

"I am beyond saddened by the loss of Robin Williams. He was a childhood idol of mine and the opportunity to work with him as an adult only solidified my appreciation for his brilliance. His smile brightened every room, his laugh was equal parts contagious and beautifully unique, and his kindness and encouragement will never be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends."

Robin Williams is survived by his third wife, Susan, and three children, Zelda, Cody and Zachary.

David: Showers and storms ongoing across the Valley

    Saturday, March 25 2017 5:50 PM EDT2017-03-25 21:50:37 GMT

Showers and storms will be ongoing across the Valley this evening. The most widespread rain will be over northeastern AL, but additional scattered storms will track into the Shoals from the west. That round of stormy weather will head east with time and should be out of the Valley after midnight. The threat for severe storms is low, but a few strong storms are possible.
