MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

A man suspected in a double murder at a church is now being charged with two sex crimes.

Court records show Richard Burgin is being charged with rape and sodomy.

These charges are separate from the murder case in which he was originally charged. Burgin is accused of stabbing Louis and Terry Bradford at the West Huntsville United Methodist Church.

Burgin's court-appointed attorney said Monday afternoon he is still waiting to get information on these new charges and to find out if he will also be appointed to this case.

Burgin remains in the Madison County Jail after his murder case was bound over to the grand jury.
